RUNCO IS FIRST TO FULLY IMPLEMENT ISFccc PERSONALIZED CUSTOMER CARE MENUS

Runco products will be the first to have dealer's and customer's names on their TV screens in ISFccc day and night menu selections

Boca Raton, FL, September 11, 2003 - The Imaging Science Foundation, Inc. (ISF), leaders in image quality since 1994, announced today that they have licensed their ISFccc (Certified Calibration Configuration) to Runco International, Inc. According to Joel Silver, President and Founder of ISF, "The ISF mode is the highest compliment any manufacturer can pay their dealers, and the very best way for dealers to set up the products they deliver. This is how a manufacturer formally recognizes that their dealers are an integral part of the delivery process. Runco understands the investments their dealers have made in training and equipment, and recognizes their dealer's skills in professionally delivering Runco products."

There are more Runco ISF certified dealers than virtually any other brand. Runco has been building superb calibration capability into their products since the ISF began. Runco factory trainers have continually encouraged their dealers to become ISF certified, and they have been very successful at doing so.

Runco's integrated controls and settings are designed to be calibrated during installation, and the ISFccc modes are then simply activated and locked by Runco dealers. This creates an on screen "safe harbor" for consumers in what is typically a confusing video menu system in other manufacturer's products.

When an ISF technician calibrates the device, Runco displays will store all the settings, the date that the calibration took place, the name of the customer and the installer who did the calibration, and enable the ISF day and night on screen modes. ISFccc is designed so that the homeowner can simply choose the ISF modes for the best picture quality. Many service calls will be eliminated by simply guiding a customer to the ISF mode next to their name. Runco customers can legitimately claim that each Runco is "their TV", professionally set up and personalized for their unique system and home environment.

ISFccc will be incorporated into the entire Runco product line.
