The Krell "Audio+Video Standard" is ISF licensed
Boca Raton, FL, May 11, 1996......Audio products that handle multiple video sources have created picture quality problems in
home theater. Components that switch inputs from a laserdisc player to a satellite dish or a DVD player should not degrade or
distort video pictures. "There are many legitimate difficulties in transferring film to video and delivering good pictures to
consumer's homes. There is no reason for something as basic as a video switcher to compromise picture quality," says ISF
producer Joel Silver.
The ISF has discovered that numerous problems are introduced into video pictures by consumer video preamplifiers. This is
unfortunate as this product category has exhibited explosive growth. Common errors we have found include, but are certainly
not limited to, poor low frequency response, chroma phase distortion, incorrect video levels, no match between input and
output, noise in the video, and poor ground connections on the video connectors.
We are pleased to announce that the Audio+Video Standard from Krell Industries, Inc. is ISF certified. It is a consumer
electronics audio video surround sound processor good enough for Joe Kane to use in his personal state of the art home
theater.
With so many video sources to choose from, consumers need high fidelity video switching capabilities that can pass the video
signal to the display without degrading the signal. With the ISF approved "Audio+Video Standard" from Krell, you can connect
all your components and see a clean clear image on your video screen.
The ISF has been training manufacturers, dealers, and writers in electronic imaging display standards. Companies like Bose,
Capitol Cities/ABC, CBS, Dolby, Electrohome, Electronic Arts, Faroudja, Group W, Hughes/JVC, Marantz, Mitsubishi,
Philips, Runco, Stereophile, Texas Instruments, Thomson, Toshiba, and Video Magazine have been trained by the ISF.
