Yes, Video Cables Definitely Make A Difference!
Boca Raton, FL, April 4, 1996........"Interconnect cables that accurately convey the information in a video signal path are
absolutely necessary for good pictures in home theater. We can both measure and observe the degradation of video images
introduced by poor cables," says ISF President Joe Kane.
The Imaging Science Foundation trains dealers, writers, and manufacturers in video display standards, and we are constantly
asked if there is a consumer interconnect cable that is reliable for high end video. By looking at professional television
production and postproduction cable requirements, we determined what specifications are critical for good pictures. The
Monster Cable Silver Video M1000V is the first consumer electronics product that meets the ISF standards for impedance,
chroma delay, and frequency response for both Data Grade and Composite video specifications. It is the first ISF licensed
video cable product.
There are two different ISF specifications for coaxial video cables based upon the bandwidth of the signal being transmitted.
Monster Cable Silver Video M1000V with their RCA connector is approved for the ISF Composite specifications. Monster
Cable Silver Video M1000V with their 75 ohm BNC connector is approved for the ISF Data Grade specifications.
The Imaging Science Foundation welcomes Monster Cable Products, Inc. to our list of licensed manufacturers. They join the
Da-Lite Screen Company, Inc., Madrigal Audio Laboratories, Runco International, and Stewart Filmscreen Corporation in
producing "High Fidelity Video" products.
